MRS. SAROJA NAIDOO

Congratulations MRS. SAROJA NAIDOO from South Africa for being selected as a finalist of Mrs India International Queen 2022! Let’s know more about her. We interviewed Mrs. Saroja and here are her amazing answers:

Name: Saroja Naidoo

Profession: Previous IT, current homemaker

Qualification: Grade 12 matriculation.

Location: Durban, South Africa

Strengths: Methodical thinking. Being real and close to the subject. Providing a good home foundation for my family.

Weakness: Spontaneous shopping for clothes and shoes. Sometimes being too polite and not saying no. I need to realise that saying “no” is not a negative.

Likes: I like cooking especially fusion. Travelling and tasting different cuisines from around the world. I power walk, listen to 80’s music and like watching movies. Since the pandemic watching Netflix and Prime has become a hobby.

Dislikes: Gossip is poison. Stories change from person to person and break up families and relationships.

Tell us about your family.

I have 3 beautiful kids, 2 sons and a daughter. My sons are all grown up now and living elsewhere in the world. My daughter is a first year university student. She plans on going abroad once she graduates. My loving husband is a businessman and the most selfless human I have ever met.

Quotes that keep you going, motivates you:

My life quote (my own quote) “Always believe that God puts domino pieces into our lives… be it a tear, a laugh, disappointments, heartbreak… it is all part of the beautiful pieces of the domino piece. The minute they cascade it’s called life… embrace it.”

“Bliss is not a feeling, it’s not a place but rather a state of mind that can be achieved by understanding the contrast with the opposite state of mind.” – – (Author unknown)

Achievements/ Anything you are proud of yourself.

2 years ago, I started writing poetry. I have written many and maybe I will publish them one day. I never realised I have this passion and I feel proud that I do. I sense and know that I do everything with love be it a small menial task or a big sacrifice, I do it all from my heart and I know it’s appreciated.

Professional: While I worked in IT as a software analyst for a blue chip company, I was successful in meeting my deadlines with the projects that I managed as a Project Leader. I was successful in keeping up with the company motto. Feedback from my team was always positive towards me.

Personal: I decided on intentional parenting. I felt that my presence in my children’s lives, loving home and being a cheerleader for them have helped them to be very grounded in life both spiritually and personally.

What is Women Empowerment according to you?

It is having the freedom to embrace new challenges no matter how late they come into your life and grasping onto the fact that learning does not end… knowledge is power.

Message for the society:

Women should believe that all courage is, is fear said with prayers. We must always remember it is the little things that matter, not the big promises.

(Any change you want to bring in the world, any topic you want to talk about or create the awareness for):

Children especially girls should always stay in school. Believe that the challenges that they face, however big, is part of life. Persevere to conquer and always remember to give yourself a pat on the shoulder for a job well done. Menstruation is not a disease, it is a natural process of being a women. Tolerate it, embrace it, it’s a part of your life. Women are special like that.

How will you give back to society after becoming a Queen?

To use the Mrs India platform to encourage kids, both boys and girls, to get an education to uplift one another and more so to understand that trust is earned.

To help the aged. To help them understand that they are not alone, a kind gesture, a visit to the homes to just chat or lend a caring hand. Network to help charity organisations.

How will you make the society a better place to live in?

To put words in a shell “the special aspect of being a women is that we are allowed to be chaotic but still at the same time be sweet and generous.” A women’s love is full of substance and rewarding to whomever they meet in life. We keep growing no matter our age. Women should remember that we are always needed no matter our age… We will always be the foundation in our home no matter our age.

Why have you participated in Mrs India International Queen?

I want to take part in Mrs India International Queen as I feel at my age I want to use this platform to uplift and empower women and children. I aspire to motivate women and children, to encourage the idea that it is not getting old but rather getting wiser. The power in making ourselves present as being older is limitless and very achievable.
