Congratulations DR. NEELU KHURANA from Noida for being selected as a finalist of Mrs India International Queen 2022! Let’s know more about her. We interviewed Dr. Neelu and here are her amazing answers:

Name: Dr. Neelu Khurana

Profession: Service, working as quality assurance and NPD head in food industry

Qualification: PhD in biochemistry & Animal Science

Location: Noida, Gautam buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, India (Native place Lucknow)

Strengths: Strong will power, Deep dive and never say no attitude, always a learner, inquisitive, genuine, transparent, grounded, caring and approachable, emotional, discipline and punctuality, non judgemental.

Weakness: Impulsive, emotional, introvert, trust people easily, blunt

Likes: Simplicity, Fair deals, healthy food, traditional wear, variety of shoes, artificial jewellery, hygiene, exercising, yoga, swimming, innovative cooking , experimenting, nature, dogs, horse and elephant, helping really needy people, travelling alone, reading and writing

Dislikes: Complex & selfish people, unhygienic environment, dirty washrooms and kitchens, over spicy/ over oily or over processed foods, misuse of facilities, rights and resources.

Professionally I have been able to make my own niche and standards, doing things from scratch and bringing results has been my most admired strength , have always been appreciated for the leadership capabilities, being dedicated, open to feedback and involved is my key to get things on track . Trust of my mentors and subordinates drives me to excel.

I am loved daughter, reliable and looked for friend, lovable wife and mom –I think these are the biggest title anyone would vouch for.

What is Women Empowerment according to you? 

The principle of gender equality is enshrined in the Indian Constitution in its Preamble, Fundamental Rights, Fundamental Duties and Directive Principles. The Constitution not only grants equality to women, but also empowers the State to adopt measures of positive discrimination in favour of women. Women’s empowerment can be defined to promote women’s sense of self-worth, their ability to determine their own choices, and their right to influence social change for themselves and others, treat them as a human being first and not as a gender difference.

Message for the society:

I would like to create awareness amongst all classes, creeds on utilizing the resources like light, electricity, water etc as per need basis and not to waste them, take a strong drive on reducing food waste, plastic waste, water waste, driving contribution from fellow citizens to serve Indian defense services, the real needy people and stray dogs. Develop easily available and affordable healthy food options

How will you give back to society after becoming a Queen?

I have plans to join few NGO’s so as to devote some hours for free education to poor, donate food, clothes and other usable things, developing home usable fruits crops with no artificial manure, doing yoga classes in society.

Why have you participated in Mrs India International Queen?

There are a ton of reasons why one should participate in Mrs International Queen. A lot of people think that it’s all about the big hair, beauty, walking around on stage, and being plastic! I’m here to tell you that what you watch on TV aren’t true! As per me the real reasons are:

1. It will help me in building self-confidence
2. Learnings I will be taking away,
3. The new friends and family I will be having
4. The opportunities, I will learn and know within me to make a better version of myself.
5. It will open a way for me to contribute back to the world & society
6. The wishlist coming true of having the crown over the head and
7. The best and most important the new me that I will be having for my life ahead.
