Tell us about your family.

I got married in 1974 to Mr. Gopal Sharma who is Retd. from Indian Railways. I am a mother of 3 amazing children (Manish Rattan, Anshul Shrotri and Sheetal). I have a beautiful daughter in law and she works in a Bank. Also, I have 8 grandchildren. All are settled in Canada.

• Every age can be Enchanting, provided you live within it.
• The great thing about getting older is that you don’t lose all other ages you have been!

Achievements/ Anything you are proud of yourself:

I am a proud grandmother, my grandchildren always encourage me to do everything. I have got many achievements in Punjab Kesari’s Senior Citizens Club. I have been awarded for my dance performances. I also went to Dubai to participate in a show. I have worked really hard and faced many challenges in my life, my family is well settled now, all of my children are married in decent families, this is all about my achievements.

What is Women Empowerment according to you?

Women empowerment for me means that every woman should be bold, educated and should take part in all the activities, regardless of her age, because she can always achieve a lot.

Message for Society:

Doesn’t matter whether you are a grandmother, you should be happy at every stage of life. I know it’s hard at a certain age, but age is just a number. Seniors should take part in all the activities and also play with their grandkids. We should always be happy and try to keep others happy.

How will you give back to society after becoming a Queen?

After becoming a Queen, I will encourage all ladies to come forward and give their best. Mrs India International Queen is an amazing platform where housewives also get the chance to prove themselves.

Why have you participated in Mrs India International Queen?

It was my dream, my desire and my passion to participate in Mrs India International Queen. I had applied for a pageant in Delhi 20 years before but I was not selected. Today, I have got opportunity again, so I don’t want to waste this opportunity and I want to show to the world that there is no age to achieve your dreams.
