Strengths:

  • Spirituality is my main strength. I believe that we are all spiritual beings having a human experience. We are all divine beings with immense potential and power. This power is within all of us. We just need to realize this.
  • My other strength is my integrity. I am a person true to myself. I believe in doing the right thing even when no one is watching, and this is what I live by and encourage other people to do so.
  • I am a compassionate and empathic person with tremendous respect for other beings. This is my strength that helps me immensely in practicing medicine effortlessly. I am able to reach out to people, listen to them, understand them and help them in the best possible ways. This also makes my work so much more enjoyable.

Weakness:

None of us are perfect and are continuously growing, I see these as areas of personal development.

  • I sometimes find it hard to deal with people with poor attitudes towards work.
  • I had a limiting belief regarding the social media. I was against sharing day to day events and our lives on social media. • “Never say no, never say cannot, for you are infinite. All the power is within you. You can do anything”. -Swami Vivekananda
  • “One of the greatest discoveries of my generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their minds”. -William James, Psychologist

Achievements / Anything you are proud of:

The thing that I am most proud of is

  • Being the mother to my daughter. Having her in my life and having the privilege to be able to nurture her has been the greatest gift.
  • Being part of the noble profession of medicine and being able to serve people in the best possible ways also makes me proud.

What is Women Empowerment according to you?

Women empowerment in my view is to educate women (and men) in realizing the greatest truth about ourselves as humans. That truth is that human beings (men/women) are the greatest creation of God/ source. We are born with immense potential and power. Potential to do anything or everything we put our mind to.

But most of us and unfortunately so many women in India do not realize this either due to their upbringing, or the society or the cultural norms. They do not have the freedom of thought.

Women are raised with the belief that they are inferior to men or not good enough or will have to depend on men to be happy or to make important decisions or to live a successful life.

Women empowerment does not mean, be against men BUT believe in yourself and know the ultimate truth that you are strong, and you have all the power. It means to have the freedom of thought and have a voice of your own. Not think of men as a means to a good life, but be independent, work hard and positively influence people around you, including family.

Message for the society:

For the country to grow, our women need to be empowered. They need to realize their true potential and society plays a major role in this.

How will you give back to society after becoming a Queen?

Women empowerment which is very close to my heart. This platform of Mrs India International Queen is doing an excellent job of that. It is a great concept.

Empowering women and redefining the meaning of beauty. Also putting the powerful and capable women on this platform for the other women to aspire to. I would love to be part of women empowerment in India and spread the message. Attending girls schools, shelters for women and delivering talks would be a good start.

I am working towards creating awareness in medical professionals on the concepts of compassionate, empathy and respect for human life in their practice. The impact of this would be that people who take their loved ones to hospitals have the best possible care by the compassionate and empathic professionals and will improve the quality of care.

Why have you participated in Mrs India International Queen?

I am looking for the opportunities to find the platform from where my voice could be heard. We can only bring about change when we talk about it.

Mrs India International Queen is a prestigious platform for raising awareness. I believe my voice will reach out to the doctors and nurses and most importantly people who have had a loved one died in the hospital in vain, who after so many years is still living in pain, a mother who lives in fear every day, God forbid if her child falls sick would she get the best treatment in the hospital, would their voices be heard.
