I live in a joint family. My in-laws are supportive and quite encouraging. My husband is an architect and interior designer. I help him with his business. My daughter is 13 years old and we both love to dance. We both share a very friendly relation. My brother in-law, sister in-law and their kids. We all stay under one roof. Being in a joint family, I have learnt so many good things from my elders. I was always fond of joint families and I feel blessed to be a part of this beautiful clan.
Quotes that keep you going, motivate you:
- Live and let others live.
- Be the star for yourself which makes you shine from within.
- Live your beliefs and you can turn the world around.
- Every morning gives you two choices, one to continue to sleep in your dreams and other is to wake you up and chase them.
Achievements/ Anything you are proud of yourself:
Stepping into motherhood is always the most proud feeling. Apart from that I won a dance competition. I always loved to participate in everything which I believe I can do without giving a thought whether I will win or lose because I think participation is more important than winning or losing. This is what I am proud of. I think one should never lose hope and try and try until you succeed.
What is Women Empowerment according to you?
According to me, women empowerment is women supporting other women. Women can only grow and rise when we all stand for each other and treat ourselves like a Queen. Women should have the right to make their own decisions and choices. Education plays a vital role in upgrading women. Women empowerment can boost a lot of confidence and power to deal with all the circumstances. Our society is always considered to be a male dominating society. I want to bring equality and give women the same place which a man is holding. Nowadays, women are also equally serving the home as well as the society in the best possible way. This change of mindset is very necessary for a better world.
Message for the society:
I want to raise awareness on Menstrual Hygiene and lack of knowledge about it. It is a very sensitive issue which we always considered unnecessary and useless. Women and young girls still hesitate and feel shy about talking or sharing their problems regarding periods. In many rural areas, women are still not aware of sanitary napkins and they use cloth which is very harmful for their health. I want to spread efficient knowledge about personal hygiene and health. Women still think that buying sanitary napkins is a waste of money. We can take some measures to solve this problem by free camps, education and distribution of sanitary pads.
How will you give back to society after becoming a Queen?
I want to encourage women to bring out their best and show the world that they deserve to be the Queen. My dream project is to open an NGO for children who are forced to be beggars because when I see these children on the street I feel sad for them and a thought came into my mind that rather than giving some money to them, why should I not provide them a bright future. Education plays a very pivotal role. I want to provide education to these children so that they can stand on their own feet.
Why have you participated in Mrs India International Queen?
Since childhood, I had a dream of seeing myself in the glamour world. I was always very fascinated by these beauty pageants. I used to stand in front of the mirror wearing a crown and wave my hand. I used to sign my autograph and give it to all my friends saying that one day you will need this. So I think Mrs India International Queen is the best platform I could have ever asked for. Looking forward to seeing myself as the next Queen and making my dream come true.
