Tell us about your family.

My family is my circle of joy and trust. I look up to my mother, my sister is my sounding board, my husband is my safe place and my kids are my happy place.

Quotes that keep you going, motivates you:

  • “You do not find the happy life. YOU MAKE IT.”
  • “Keep your eyes on the stars and your feet on the ground.”
  • “SING like no one is listening, LOVE like you have never been hurt, DANCE like nobody is watching, LIVE like it’s heaven on Earth.”

Achievement / anything you are proud of yourself:

There are various academic achievements like winning scholar badge at school, being the head prefect at school, being a university topper during engineering, studying at a premier college like Sriram College of Commerce (SRCC). Professionally, have been growing steadily, and have seen multiple promotions while managing home and two very young kids.

However, I feel my biggest achievement is my life journey – how far I have come in life from being a village girl to a corporate leader. And now I am able to lend a hand to someone in need, be it career guidance, teaching English via NGOs, financial destitution among others. These are the real highs of my life.

What is women empowerment to you?

In my opinion, true women empowerment would mean when we as a society will reach a stage where not even talks of empowerment are required. In all spheres of life, women by default get equal rights and opportunities. It would mean letting women be the owners of their lives, letting them choose, and making them an equal party in decision-making. It also implies equal participation and equal influence socially, economically, politically, and psychologically.

Message for society:

I feel the single most important tool to bring a fundamental change in society is ‘Education’. It is rightly said “one book, one pen, one child and one teacher is enough to change the world”.  As a society, if we make education accessible to all, the humanity will progress at an unprecedented rate.

How will you give back to society after becoming a queen?

First, I’d like to thank Mrs India International Queen and team 2021 for giving us this platform to voice our opinion. I’d use this platform to take further the education initiatives I am part of. Would represent and participate in initiatives which focus on education especially for womenfolk.

Why have you participated in Mrs India International Queen?

I have participated in MIIQ for the following reasons:

  • To meet other women for different walks of life and learn from their experiences.
  • To push my boundaries and tell myself “Sky is the limit”
  • To carve a place for myself and create my own personal brand.
