Name:  Geetha Rajakumar

Profession: Beautician, Founder and curator of Soundarya beauty parlour and slimming centre

Qualification: Graduation

Location: Calicut, Kerala

Strength: Tolerance is the highest degree of strength. Patience is my another great strength. I am a very enthusiastic person, independent, bold,always optimistic and an honest person

Weakness: I feel very difficult in saying NO.

Likes:  I like to smile and see people smile.

I love travelling I like to meet new people and make friendship with them. I love cooking. I like to try new recipes and experiment my new ideas on the recipes. Another one thing I love to do is gardening.

Dislikes: laziness.

 

Tell us about your family:

 

I belong to a joint family where I live with my husband two sons, their wives and children. My husband Mr Raja Kumar who was an employee of IOCL. He got retired and now enjoying retirement life in Kerala.

 

My elder son, Rahu Nair is working as a computer engineer. His wife Sowmya is a homemaker and they have 7years old daughter Aaradhya.

 

My younger son, Rohit Nair working as Manager in SBI treasury. His Wife Swetha is a doctor and they have a 7 months old baby girl Inaara.

Achievements/ Anything you are proud of yourself:

 

I am a member of All India Malayali Association. I’ve participated in many events like dance, drama, bhajan etc and bagged prizes. I was a member of the Thiruvathirakali group and has bagged many prizes including that conducted by Kerala house.

I was also the president of ‘Rohini MahilaKalavedi’. We used to organize Melas or exhibitions.

 

 

What is Women Empowerment according to you?

 

The ability to determine their own choices and the right influences there by social change from within and others. Iam the president of “Karunyakudumbasree”, which is an initiative by Govt of Kerala for uplifting women in lower socioeconomic status both financially as well as personally independent and provide their contribution to the society.

 

Message for the society:

 

Never ever underestimate yourself.  Age is no barrier.

 

How will you give back to society after becoming a Queen?

 

if I become the Queen by god’s grace, I would like to do many things. First of all I will try to inspire women to believe in themselves. No great sailor is made in calm sea. Growth in all perspectives occur only by facing challenges.

 

Why have you participated in Mrs India International Queen?

 

“It’s my dream”. Since childhood I was very much fascinated by fashion, getting ready for events and all. As I am from a small village, I dint get many opportunities then.  Now as I got one, I didn’t want to miss this.
