Congratulations DR. DURLABHESH from New Delhi for being selected as a finalist of Mrs India International Queen 2024! Let’s know more about her. We interviewed Dr. Durlabhesh and here are her amazing answers:

Name: Dr. Durlabhesh Rawat

Profession: Physician and a post-graduate in Internal Medicine from PGIMER, Chandigarh.

Qualification: I am currently pursuing the degree of Cardiology at VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi.

Location: New Delhi

Likes: I am quite fond of extra-curricular activities like dancing and cooking, as well as sports like chess and badminton. Apart from this I’m also a fitness freak person. I am currently engaged with an NGO (Children Health Foundation) and I love to be surrounded with children.

I love the food cooked by my mother and enjoy being in nature by waking up early, or by feeling the chill in rain.

Strengths: I don’t believe in miracles but have immense faith in hard work. A person maybe capable of achieving what he/she had always dreamed of by burning the midnight oil. And my strength comes from seeing my mother. She is the source of my power and I always look up to her.

Weakness: My weaknesses are primarily related to the fact that I love perfections and don’t adjust much with suboptimal things, because sometimes it’s not in our hands to train others and make them work in our style. I also get annoyed with people who don’t like their jobs and keep on complaining about everything.

Dislikes: I dislike non-vegetarianism as all the animals also have an equal right to inhabit this wonderful planet, I also dislike not being in our true consciousness by drugging our brains.

Tell us about your family.

I belong to a family of many renowned people who have taught and lived the values of life. My grandmother had a heart of gold and had always donated and gifted people with her love, blessings, and my grandfather had always lived the life of a true leader both at work as well as at home. I never saw him starting his day after 4 am in the morning.

I don’t have enough words to fill and tell about my stunning parents. I just can say that I am really blessed and feel precious to be born in this amazing family where the priorities of females are always kept superior. They have taught me to explore and study highest educational platforms and still motivate me to excel in my career. My husband is in Indian civil services in Railways and I am so proud of him that he is a true gentlemen who stole my heart and always helped me to pursue my dreams despite being in an arranged marriage setting.

Quotes that keep you going, motivate you:

Few Quotes who have been helping me always in my good or bad times:

  • In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna says that one must do one’s duties, but one has no control over the fruits.
  • Having a place to go is a home, having someone to love is a family, having both is a blessing

Achievements/ Anything you are proud of yourself:

Achievements I would say not really proud of but blessed that Almighty has given me a talent to do my surgeries with both my hand that is called as being ambidextrous.

Another one is that when people eat food cooked by me, they are full by stomach but never by their heart.

What is Women Empowerment according to you?

Women Empowerment to me clearly means that women are not only making decisions and changing their own lives but also their family as well as friends. They are strong enough to conquer and become the best in any field they choose to be in. It doesn’t mean that they always have to be strong, they can be vulnerable, they can mess out, and they can seek advice from their team and move ahead in life. But ultimately the decision should be theirs.

Message for the society:

The biggest message to the world I want to talk about is start helping others (includes human, animals as well as plants) by giving your time, patience, hard work and sometimes money as well, without asking anything in return and another topic I would love to talk and share is regarding the importance of cleanliness in out surrounding’s which starts from ourselves, then our home and then our city which will ultimately go across the globe.

How will you give back to society after becoming a Queen?

After becoming a Queen which will be like a dream I would say, with the help of my Mrs India International Queen team, I would love to address and create awareness amongst the crowd on very important topics like health schemes and programmes with which the poor people can get benefit from, amongst young people and specially women how to cope up with new environment and fight depression etc. There are so many ways with which we can change this universe for the good with one trigger.

Why have you participated in Mrs India International Queen?

I have participated in Mrs India International Queen contest to add confidence in me, so I could talk and share my amazing journey in this field to my female friends and family that how it feels to step out of your comfort zone and just win it.
