Congratulations Dr. Aayushi Sangharshee Bhalla from Rajasthan for being selected as a finalist of Mrs India International Queen 2027! Let’s know more about her. We interviewed Dr. Aayushi and here are her amazing answers:

Name: Dr. Aayushi Sangharshee Bhalla

Profession: English teacher at school

Qualification: PhD in English Literature

Location: Rajasthan

Strengths:

  1. I have always been very hard-working and persistent in my efforts. I believe success is never achieved overnight and is a result of years and years of hard work and dedication.
  2. I am a believer in God and one of my biggest strengths is gratitude. It is said that hard work and God’s grace go hand in hand so I never forget to thank God for whatever happens in my life or whatever I achieve.
  3. As I have been a school teacher in English and have recently completed my PhD degree, I can say that one of my strengths is that I have proficiency in public speaking as well as I excel at English creative writing.

Weakness:

  1. I think I am way too emotional and tend too quickly get very emotionally attached to people.
  2. I would say I am very straightforward by nature. I believe in being honest and genuine, and whatever is in my heart tends to get reflected on my face.

Likes:

  1. I absolutely love to read about Indian mythology. I have always had a fascination with Indian mythology, the richness of its culture, the diversity of its representation, and immense possibilities of interpretation for its readers.
  2. I love spending time with my family: travelling and exploring new places. Also, as I have recently become a mother, I love to take my daughter to new places so that she becomes more social, inquisitive and explorative.
  3. In my free time, I like to pursue my artistic side through painting and sketching. I take great interest in making pencil portraits of people and since childhood I have maintained a whole book of pencil portraits that I have made of the people whom I love.

Dislikes:

  1. Laziness: It is said that time and tide wait for no man, and I feel that you lose a lot of opportunities when you postpone things for no reason and waste time.
  2. Disrespect and arrogance: I feel being humble is very important. Every person’s situation is different and so are their lives’ struggles, so we should always treat everyone with dignity and give them the utmost respect.

Tell us about your family:

I come from a sweet little family in Jaipur, Rajasthan, where I live with my husband, my daughter and my in-laws. As our family business, we majorly deal in manufacturing of copper, where we overlook the entire process of copper manufacturing from scrap to rods and wires. My hometown is Kota, Rajasthan, where my parents reside and engage in the family business of furniture trading. My daughter continues to be the heart and soul of both families who live and enjoy life for her.

Achievements/ Anything you are proud of yourself:

My biggest achievement or biggest blessing in today’s date is to become a mother to a beautiful daughter whom I absolutely cherish. My whole world comes full circle when I see pure love in her eyes for me.

On the other hand, speaking about tangible achievements, I can say that my recent degree of PhD in English is my most ambitious achievement. Also, I can say that I am UGC-NET qualified in English Literature which makes me eligible for Associate Professorship in any college all over India. I am also the author of 5-6 Research Papers that were published in various UGC-approved journals. I have also authored many newspaper articles that have come up as front-page cover articles in many of the newspapers.

Speaking about my student days, I was a college topper at Delhi University and in school, in the Class XII Board exams, I was a city topper in Kota city. I have also received Certificate of Merit from CBSE for my class XII result.

For all the things that I am or have achieved, I owe the credit to my family who has always supported me in all my endeavours.

What is Women Empowerment according to you?

The concept of women empowerment, I feel is very context dependent. It has different connotations across different societies, cultures and groups.

As for married women, in general, I feel the concept of women empowerment resonates with the idea of having an equal partnership in marriage; sharing parental responsibilities equally; having an equal say in the decision making of the family; and most importantly, having the choice to become financially independent.

As we all know, in most families, an educated girl is most sought after for marital prospects, but rarely do we give the girl a chance to be employed as well after marriage. If education is needed, then what about the natural corollary of education, i.e., employment? I would say that it is very good to have an educated daughter-in-law, but it is best if we give the educated daughter-in-law a chance to be employed as well and let her fulfil all her dreams. An educated and employed daughter-in-law would not only be financially independent but would have an equal say in the decision making of the family. An educated and employed daughter-in-law would truly be empowered in every sense and would indeed help bring a change in society.

Message for the society:

Message for the society is to believe in yourself. For any and every person, it is very important to analyse your own self-worth, embrace your strengths and weaknesses and always aim to be a better version of yourself. It is because the first and most important person whose respect you need is your own.

How will you give back to society after becoming a Queen?

I feel that the prestigious platform of Mrs India International Queen not only gives us the opportunity to change our lives, but also gives us a chance to create an impact on the lives of others.

If given a chance, I would like to use this privilege to amplify my voice, use my education and my personal experiences to encourage other women to believe in themselves, come out of their shells, recognise their dreams and never let anything confine them to boxes.

I feel social institutions like marriage or household responsibilities should turn up as barriers or limitations to women’s dreams and ambitions.

Why have you participated in Mrs India International Queen?

The major reason that I have participated in Mrs India International Queen 2027 is to make my daughter as proud of me as I am of her today. I have recently experienced how the phase of motherhood in a woman’s life can be very empowering as much as it is beautiful. When you become a mother, it is a common natural instinct that comes to you that you want to do the best for your child and, for that, you also become the best version of yourself. In the same vein, when I became a mother, I knew that I had to do everything that is best for my child and also become a person that she can admire and look up to.

And also, as I have been majorly into academics all my life, through Mrs India International Queen I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and explore other areas of my personality.

All in all, I wanted to show my daughter that if her mother can, she can too.  I felt that she should grow up with the belief that dreams are not gender-specific, and all women can aspire to dream big and excel in their desired fields.
