Congratulations MRS. RUMA SARKAR from Sonipat for being the Finalist of Mrs India International Queen 2021! Let’s know more about her! We interviewed Mrs. Ruma and here are her amazing answers:
Name: Ruma Sarkar
Profession: Makeup Artist
Qualification: Advanced diploma in cosmetology
Location: Sonipat, Haryana
Strengths: Family
Weakness: Family
Likes: Positive people
Dislikes: Negative environment
Tell us about your family.
I have a loving husband and 2 of the most beautiful and sweet kids.
Quotes that keep you going, motivates you:
• “Look for something positive in each day, even if some days you have to look a little harder.”
• “You are never too old to set a new goal or to dream a new dream.”
Achievements/ Anything you are proud of yourself:
As I'm a working woman, I have many roles, and when I get compliments and the appreciation that I am the best daughter-in-law, best wife and the best mother from my in-laws, the respect and love that I earned from them is the biggest achievement of my life.
What is Women Empowerment according to you?
According to me, a woman is the most precious blessing from God as she is the only one who can give birth to a child. I know that men are also a blessing, every human is, but a woman is created in a special way to create other humans, to give birth to a new life. Nobody has the right to discriminate between genders. How can someone differentiate between a girl and a boy when one himself is born from a woman. A woman has every right to pursue her dreams and excel.
Message for society:
From today, we should take a stand and teach our kids to not discriminate between gender, because they are the future and through this the society will be better. It will be better today if everyone takes the initiative to teach equality.
How will you give back to society after becoming a Queen?
I'll keep people positive even in their negative times because every time passes, sad or happy. All you need is the strength to never give up and continue going!
Why have you participated in Mrs India International Queen?
I have participated in Mrs India International Queen to fulfill my dreams as I'm already a Queen but I want to see that amazing crown on my head since my childhood. I have participated in this pageant to prove myself. I have got an opportunity to showcase myself on this global platform.

My family practices honesty, generosity, amiability and compassion. Ever since my marriage, I have tried to imbibe the ideals of my family and have lived a very modest and humble life. Not only have been my in-laws very supportive of me but they have always in all ways encouraged me to do better in all spheres of my life.
Quotes that describe you/ keep you going, motivates you.
• “Your mind is unconquerable to negative thoughts. Your thoughts and your beliefs are unshakable to negative views. The core of who you are is indestructible to immoral energy. Be strong and immovable in your values and remember that you are supreme.”
• “People spend so much time trying to be physically attractive to find love that they forget the importance of being mentally attractive. Educate yourself, address your recurring toxic thoughts, deal with your insecurities and learn to be happy on your own. That’s attractive.”
• “I am not one in a million kind of a girl. I am once in a lifetime kind of a woman.”
Achievements/ Anything you are proud of yourself.
Achievements are the building blocks that enables someone to construct a sense of themselves as a success. So, my true achievements include my sense of self dignity, my moralistic values, my holistic approach towards garnering a state of happiness, my spiritual bent of mind and most importantly the love I have earned from my friends and family.
Today, there isn’t a thing that deters me to do better. Every morning I aim to evolve as a person and every evening I feel I have enhanced myself as a being, in the realm of humanity and morality. Yes, the world measures achievements in terms of our success rate. So, my biggest achievement would be in my hands when I will walk out of this beauty pageant - Mrs India International Queen 2021 wearing a crown and walking with poise and grace.
What is Women Empowerment according to you?
Women empowerment is an enigma, the notion which should be embedded in the thought process of every woman. When a woman understands that it’s time to turn history into her story, she gets empowered. Every woman according to me is an empowered woman because she has castles inside her skin, crowns on her head and iron in her heart. She is an empowered woman who doesn’t cower before any man, who hasn’t learnt to disdain and who is righteously using her wit and brain. An empowered woman is like Cleopatra and Victoria - the kingless Queens who turned kingdoms into empires.
Message for society:
Why to hide and supress all the love we have in our hearts? This world has lost its glory and if there is one thing that can revamp this world’s story, it’s love. So, I plead this world to become a fountain of love and constantly pour love for others. Only and only love can ward off animosity, ill will, anger and ego. Let’s try to make this world a better place, let’s try to live beyond caste and race, to our actions let’s add thoughtfulness and grace, let’s not always live by the face, it’s the heart that’s important; this thought needs to be embraced.
How will you give back to society after becoming a Queen?
They say, “For it is in giving that we receive”. Once I become the Queen, I will do whatever it takes to give back to society and make this world a better place. Quite often at such a juncture one person will think” I’m only one person what can I really do?” But it’s just that one thing that will initiate many to share what they have got. If every person did just one thing to make society a better place, innumerable acts of kindness, acts of generosity and compassion would generate everywhere and that would surely change the face of our society. I have couple of things on my mind which I want to do for society which include volunteering my time at local schools, using less paper and encouraging others to use less paper, driving less to restrict carbon emissions in the atmosphere, spreading love and compassion and educating the deprived children. Only when I will give to society wholeheartedly will I actually be addressed as a QUEEN. I can’t go back and change from where it all started but I can start from wherever I am and contribute to the society.
Why have you participated in Mrs India International Queen?
I had nurtured this dream of participating in Miss India since my childhood days. But, somehow I wasn’t able to give wings to my dream. When I heard about Mrs India International Queen, I somehow felt that this pageant is designed specially for me and the next thing I did was to fill the form to enter this pageant. I somehow felt that time has finally come to put all my fears and apprehensions on the backseat and to finally see the fulfillment of my dream. Besides, it was the curiosity for new challenges that prompted me to participate in this beauty pageant. I am an explorer and I have always aspired for trying something new. I realised that I am bigger than any problem that can come my way. I understood that the more I would push through my fears and act, the more confident and successful I will become. Hence, I joined this pageant.

Achievements/ Anything you are proud of yourself.
Becoming a fitness trainer is the most important achievement in my life, because with this knowledge, I can impact the lives of so many people and train them to be fit.
What is Women Empowerment according to you?
A women's body goes through many mental and physical changes. I believe that staying fit through all phases of life is the most important step towards women's empowerment. A fit body and mind can create wonders and bring about the change she desires!
Message for society:
Most people want a welfare state, where the state looks after the health of its people. But why not prevent sickness in the first place. After all "Prevention is better than cure." The first step to work towards a welfare state is to make everyone understand the importance of Fitness. The body is the temple of the soul and we must honour it at all times. The soul takes form in the shape of a body to achieve something and "leave footprints in the sands of time" so to say. So yes, everything for me comes back to fitness both of mind and body.
How will you give back to society after becoming a Queen?
I would love to put India on the world map with regards to fitness.
Towards that goal I have made a small beginning -
• I have visited Clinics and conducted Yoga workshops.
• In SNDT School I have conducted a workshop for NCC cadets on Yoga
• We have started YOFITT fitness for children, Adults and Senior Citizens
• Society is going more and more indoors which will affect the health of the nation and therefore its productivity. At least once a day either in the morning or evening I would like to see people outdoors giving about an hour for their health by exercising.
Towards this goal, I am studying also. In fact I am continuously upgrading myself in sports and Fitness. I have just given my Level 2 Australian Strength and Conditioning exam which is very advanced and is approved by Australian Government.
I hope my dream of a fit India comes true with all these efforts.
Why have you participated in Mrs India International Queen?
Mrs India International Queen is a platform for me to promote a healthy lifestyle through exercise and to tell everyone about what a fit body can do for them and the country as a whole.
