What is Women Empowerment according to you?

Women Empowerment to me is one that comes within, is to live life with freedom and equality in every aspect of life, be it education, work, marriage and choosing a profession. Empowering women is to ensure they have confidence, strength and ability to make decision-making at every stage of life; it is important for a woman to have diversification and equality at the wages. Violence and safety restrictions prevent women from participating fully in public life. Empowering women politically, socially, economically, educationally, and psychologically helps narrow the gap. Empowering women makes a strong family and a stronger nation.

Message for the society:

In every community there is work to be done. In every nation there are wounds to heal, and in every heart there is a power to do it. Empathy and kindness are often seen as weakness in our country, but I would like to stress out that being kind and empathetic is a strength, be kind to yourself and to others. Showing kindness, being empathetic and being able to listen to people helps them feel better. I was taken by the power that savouring a simple cup of coffee can have to connect people and make a community. Our country is a place where there are diverse communities but there is unity amongst us where kindness has to be added.

How will you give back to society after becoming a Queen?

A society is one that is made of combination of individual actions, community engagement, and systemic changes that promote equity, health, and sustainability. Making it a better place to live will have to include fostering education to the poor by providing them books and scholarships, improving public awareness on certain rural and urban areas where there is still lack of resources like electricity, water and basic necessities. Acting sustainably for instance, using electric vehicles instead of petrol and diesel, thereby reducing the pollution which affects the oxygen we consume and strengthening social connections which is interaction with people rather than being a gadget freaks.

Why have you participated in Mrs India International Queen?

Mrs India International Queen is an amazing platform where I can regain confidence, empower myself after overcoming financial and personal constraints over the years. It is a place for married women like me where I can fulfil my dreams and prove that this is just the beginning and not an end to one and all the married women out there. Be an inspiration to at least 1% of women out there who dream but can’t fulfil and get out of their cocoon. I want them to believe in themselves, have faith in them and If I can do it, everyone can do it! I would like to test my abilities to take up new challenges and learn from them. I can improve my capability all over again after being a mother of two, life seems like a flying marathon where one needs to have self-care, self-love and I believe it must come with oneself, prioritise yourself. It is an opportunity to transform myself, build inner confidence, empower women and self-discovery of my lost soul.
