Congratulations Mrs. Jayashree Satish Ghogre from Pune, Maharashtra for being selected as a finalist of Mrs India International Queen 2025! Let’s know more about her. We interviewed Mrs. Jayashree and here are her amazing answers:

Name: Jayashree Satish Ghogre

Profession: Business Assistant

Qualification: BA (Hons), Interior Designing (Diploma)

Location: Pune, Maharashtra

Strength: Strong willpower, positive thinking, a ‘make-it-happen’ attitude, and humility.

Weakness: The desire to be perfect in all areas of life, sometimes being too critical of myself, and a detail-oriented personality.

Over the years, I have realized that possessing these characteristics often makes me lose sight of the big picture as I focus too much on the smaller details. Now, at 71, when I look back, I have learned to let go and not sweat the small stuff.

Likes: Reading, playing the sitar, travelling and exercising.

Dislikes: Hypocrisy and negativity.

What is women empowerment according to you?

Women’s empowerment refers to the process by which women gain control over their lives and make their own choices. It involves inspiring and promoting a sense of self- worth and confidence.

Economic growth, gender equality and social development contribute to the health and social development of families and ultimately, the nation.

Small steps to big changes – empowerment starts by taking care of yourself, your health, your self-worth and your confidence. At an individual level, you have what it takes to make a difference in your life. You, and only you, can make that change.

To empower women and girls we need:

  1. Access to education for the underprivileged, particularly in rural areas.
  2. Promotion and support of gender equality.
  3. Resources and opportunities that lead to financial independence.
  4. Easy access to healthcare.
  5. Physical and mental well-being, as well as safety. Resources to fight domestic abuse and unlawful social practices like dowry.

Message for the society:

  1. Challenging Societal expectations and judgements about what it means to look good at an older age.
  2. Using this platform to boost your self- esteem, self- worth and the desire to look your best – no matter what.
  3. The benefits of all this are joy, confidence, fun and the legacy we leave behind for family and friends.

How will you give back to society after becoming a Queen?

  1. I want to be a voice for all women, especially those above 40, and encourage them to participate in beauty pageants. I want to tell them that beauty pageants are not only focusing on external physical appearance or beauty. They celebrate inner beauty, skills, inherent qualities, and the strength that a woman possesses.
  2. I would use this platform to inspire many women—if I can do it, they can too. I also want to be a role model for the younger generation and encourage them to use this platform to advocate for causes they care about.
  3. I am passionate about animal welfare and will use this platform to raise awareness about animal cruelty, support animal shelters and rescue organizations through fundraising and volunteering.
  4. I will share information about animal shelters and encourage people to adopt animals instead of buying them.
  5. I will promote veganism/vegetarianism and encourage people to consider a plant-based life style.
  6. I will increase awareness about volunteering at orphanages and encourage donations of basic necessities like food, clothing, books, stationery, and sports equipment.
  7. I will support old-age homes by volunteering to spend quality time with the elderly. I will also encourage donations of clothes, toiletries, books, household goods, and financial contributions to help sustain their operations.

Why have you participated in Mrs India International Queen?

I have participated in Mrs India International Queen because I feel I can make a difference.

  1. Defying age stereotypes: Showing women that age is just a number when it comes to creativity and fashion flair. With health awareness, a balanced diet, a positive mindset and regular exercise, 70 can feel the new 50.
  2. Inspiring women to embrace their age and express themselves freely.
  3. Exhibiting strength and confidence despite passing years.
  4. My goal is to show women who neglect self-care the benefits of taking care of themselves – right to the very end – regardless of their circumstances or budget.
