MRS INDIA INTERNATIONAL QUEEN FINALIST Mrs. Jayashree Satish Ghogre
Congratulations Mrs. Jayashree Satish Ghogre from Maharashtra for being selected as a finalist of Mrs India International Queen 2026! Let’s know more about her. We interviewed Mrs. Jayashree and here are her amazing answers:
Name: Jayashree Satish Ghogre
Profession: I am a retired fitness entrepreneur and a special educator. I spent nearly two decades leading the wellness community through my aerobics studio while simultaneously teaching at Umang. Now, I balance my life through the dedicated study of the sitar.
Qualification: B.A. (Hons.), Diploma in Interior Designing, B.Ed. (Special Education)
Location: Pune, Maharashtra
Strengths: My biggest strengths are being compassionate, having a positive attitude, being empathetic, and patient. I ran a fitness studio for two decades while simultaneously teaching children with special needs. There, I learnt that if a child cannot learn the way we teach, we must teach the way they learn. My strength is the ability to see beauty and possibility in every challenge.
Weakness: Sometimes I get overly critical of myself. I always want to aim for perfection, which I know doesn’t exist. I sometimes take on too many passions and then it gets difficult to handle them.
Likes: Age is just a number for me. I like to take up new challenges and any opportunity to learn something new.
Dislikes: I dislike the idea that we should stop growing or dreaming just because of our age and I also dislike the word ‘impossible’, especially when society tries to put women in boxes based on their age or ability. I have learnt that life is too short to stay still.
Tell us about your family:

We are also blessed with two grandsons — Vidit, aged 14, and Vivaan, aged 7.
Quotes that keep you going, motivate you:
- A woman is a full circle, within her is the power to create, nurture and transform.
- The strongest action for a woman is to love herself, be herself and shine among those who never believed she could.
Achievements/ Anything you are proud of yourself:
- In today’s world, women are often told to “slow down” as they age, but I have spent two decades teaching others to speed up. I have run an aerobics fitness studio for 20 years. I have helped many people stay healthy, confident, strong and advocated for women’s health and vitality long before it became a trend.
- Working as a special education teacher for children with special needs requires a level of emotional intelligence and a lot of patience. I have helped and supported the children in developing confidence, self-esteem and social skills and this in turn brought smiles to the faces of their parents.
- Most people stop learning new difficult skills in their 50s. I have challenged myself by picking up the sitar and pursued learning it.
- Stepping onto this stage at 73 is an achievement. I want to show an entire generation of women that life does not “fade out” as you age …it just changes its melody.
What is Women Empowerment according to you?
Apart from being economically independent, according to me women’s empowerment is the freedom to reinvent at any stage of life, become stronger, confident, and fearless. It is the strength I felt in running an aerobics fitness studio advocating wellness and fitness. It is the patience needed for specially-abled children to find their own unique voices, their self-esteem and confidence. And today at 73, it is the courage I felt when I decided to pick up the sitar to start a new chapter.
Empowerment is not just about having power over others, it’s about proving that a woman’s worth isn’t measured by her age but by the boldness of her spirit, determination and the dreams she follows.
Message for the society:
Society expects a woman to “retire” and fade as they age, but I am here to say, do not just add years to your life, add life to your years. Society sees age as a sunset, but I see it as a sunrise. We are never too old to learn, too tired to move, or too late to begin again. My life is my message: Dare to dream, keep moving, stay tuned and never stop performing.
How will you give back to society after becoming a Queen?
I want to be an ambassador to promote health, wellness and a positive lifestyle for my generation. I want to show other seniors that wellness isn’t just for the young. I want women to stay graceful through light movement and breathing exercises and to help elderly women regain their physical confidence. I want to encourage senior women to pick up a new art form, such as music, painting, vocal, ceramics, dancing, etc. I want to remind women that we are growing in age but our brain and spirit never stop growing, so women should take charge of themselves and move forward.
Why have you participated in Mrs India International Queen?
For two decades, I was an aerobics teacher, then a special educator and later a sitarist. But today I am here as myself—to represent every woman who thinks that her time to shine has passed.
I am here at Mrs India International Queen to show that at 73, my feet are still steady enough to walk the ramp, my mind is sharp enough for the sitar, and my confidence is big enough to lead. I am focused on breaking barriers and not competing with the other beautiful women on this stage.
