MRS INDIA INTERNATIONAL QUEEN FINALIST Dr. Deepika

Congratulations Dr. Deepika from Sonipat, Haryana for being selected as a finalist of Mrs India International Queen 2025! Let’s know more about her. We interviewed Dr. Deepika and here are her amazing answers:

Name: Deepika
Profession: Doctor
Qualification: MD Anaesthesia
Location: Sonipat, Haryana
Strengths: Discipline, loyalty, calm under pressure and strong communication skills, moral values.
Weakness:
1) I sometimes find it difficult to say no, especially when helping others. This can lead to overcommitting.
2) Difficulty in delegating tasks. As an anaesthetist, I intend to double check everything. And I get burnt out because of that.
Likes:
Dancing, travelling, discovering different cultures, gymming, listening to music, voracious reader, communicate with strangers (new people), walking in nature, doing social work and in contributing to the society.
Dislikes:
Procrastination
Disorganisation
Negativity (I try to maintain positive outlook)

Tell us about your family:
I belong to a family of doctors. My dad is an inspiration, who worked effortlessly during riots in Punjab and contributed to the society.
My Husband, brother, sister-in-law are doctors. My brother is an army officer as well as a doctor.
We still have a joint family and we share happiness and sorrows together.
Joint family plays significant role in fostering core values and shaping an individual’s character.

Quotes that keep you going, motivate you:
• No matter how long the night is, dawn will definitely break. So keep going with the flow!
• Success is not final, failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts!
• Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future. Concentrate the mind on the present moment!

Achievements/ Anything you are proud of yourself?
I have worked enormously in covid era, where quick decisions were critical. My calm and calculated approach not only stabilised the patients, but also reaffirmed my commitment to patient safety.
Balancing multiple roles, as wife, daughter, daughter in law, doctor and social worker are my greatest achievements. Each role demands dedication and energy.
Learning to step out of my comfort zone through dance performances has been significant achievement. It boosted my confidence and taught me the power of expression.

What is Women Empowerment according to you?
Access to education, employment, equal pay and justice.
Encourage women to participate in all social, cultural and political activities.

Message for the society:
A healthy society begins with empathy, equality and care.
Let’s prioritise mental and physical well being for all.
I want to highlight the issues like population control, illiteracy and poverty.

How will you give back to society after becoming a Queen?
Supporting mental and physical health initiatives for women helping them find the resources they need to thrive.
Advocating for accessible healthcare for all, with a focus on maternal and child health.
To support the victims of domestic violence and single mothers.
Awareness campaigns about the impact of climate change and promotion of environment conservation.

Why have you participated in Mrs India International Queen?
I love accepting challenges. I will come out of my comfort zone and learn something new.
Participating in Mrs India International Queen will boost my self confidence. The competition isn’t just about external beauty or wearing crown. It will give me the opportunity to bring attention to important issues.
Through this platform, I would like to inspire others and make a positive impact on the society.
