Name: Rani Gattani

Profession: Social worker and Homemaker

Qualification: Postgraduate

Location: Delhi

Strengths: Confident and cooperative, with a willingness to take on any task. Able to face situations without getting nervous. I love the arts and I am doing a lot of theatre work with Asmita Group of Theatre, Mandi House. Here, I was awarded a certificate for completing the course.

Weakness: Emotional, possessive and sometimes self-centred.

Likes: Very extroverted, with a desire to meet influential people like celebrities. I love watching popular movies. I love wearing new designer clothes. I love to go abroad and visit tourist places. I love staying in premium hotels and resorts. I enjoy trying different cuisines.

Dislikes: I dislike it when someone says I can’t at the age of 73 when I can swim, dance, drive and act. Anything is possible; age is just a number. I dislike limitations and helplessness.

Tell us about your family:

We are a rather small family, with my husband being a popular doctor in Noida. My daughter is a bio scientist in Australia. My son is the Global Head of HCL’s AI division. My self-inspiration and desires keep me motivated, with inspiration from all the family members. I take extremely good care of my health.

Quotes that keep you going, motivate you:

  • The future depends on what you do today.
  • Believe you can and you’re halfway there.
  • Never dream about success, work for it.
  • Never fear for what you want.

Achievements/ Anything you are proud of yourself:

I am a qualified Kathak dancer from Prayagraj Institute.

I have always had a passion for dancing.

I have been President of Mahila Mandal Sarita Vihar for 8 years, during which I worked for the environment by implementing rainwater harvesting in collaboration with Delhi Government.

What is Women Empowerment according to you?

When a woman has the power to think good or bad for herself, she is the master of her life financially, self-confident and positive. A woman at the age of 73 still has many dreams. Age is just a number. It has no expiry date.

Message for the society:

It’s a message to society: Stay healthy. Health is wealth. Stay active, do yoga, and eat good food. Look at me at this age; I swim, dance, do theatre and drive. I drive my own EV vehicle. I make my own independent decisions.

How will you give back to society after becoming a Queen?

I will use the crown to influence and inspire others. I am already visiting old-age homes and orphanages. I visit the streets during the peak of Delhi’s winter and donate clothes, blanket and medicines. My husband, being a doctor, is a great help. I will donate money for the welfare of the needy. At this age, my aim is to help make women financially independent.

Why have you participated in Mrs India International Queen?

I am here because of my passion of beauty contests. I always felt I am beautiful. Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.

I started late, but I feel my 70s are just like my 50s. This drives me to look forward. I will take health classes, counselling, and personal grooming classes.
