Achievements/ Anything you are proud of yourself:
Starting my career as a Microbiologist in 1985 and reaching the top level of the dairy industry in the last three years of my journey (2018-2021) has been the biggest achievement of my life. I was the first woman CEO in the dairy industry. What is Women Empowerment according to you?
According to me, women empowerment is the process of providing women with equal rights, opportunities and agency to make strategic life choices and providing them with a safe working environment that enables them to live independently and contribute equally to society.
Key aspects of women empowerment are:
- Financial Empowerment
- Educational Empowerment
- Social and Political Empowerment
- Psychological Empowerment
Message for the society:
I want to give a message to the society about zero wastage of food and water. I want to make people aware of the wastage of food which usually occurs in wedding festivities, birthday parties and many other celebrations and sometimes at home also. People should take only as much food on their plates which they think they can eat. This awareness should also be transferred to their wards/children by the parents.
How will you give back to society after becoming a Queen?
After becoming a Queen, I would like to give back to society by meeting and talking to people in old age homes.
I would also like to distribute daily essentials such as food and clothes to them and bring happiness to their faces.
Why have you participated in Mrs India International Queen?
I have participated in Mrs India International Queen firstly for my happiness, and secondly to become a role model.
