MRS INDIA INTERNATIONAL QUEEN FINALIST Mrs. Nabanita Mohanta

Mrs. Nabanita Mohanta

Congratulations Mrs. Nabanita Mohanta from Odisha for being selected as a finalist of Mrs India International Queen 2026! Let’s know more about her. We interviewed Mrs. Nabanita and here are her amazing answers:

Name: Nabanita Mohanta

Profession: Homemaker (ex-Customer Service Specialist – Team Leader)

Qualification: Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration – HR Operations.

Location: Odisha

Strengths: My strength lies in listening with patience and compassion, because beauty is not just about appearance; it’s about the heart that hears others.

Weakness: My weakness is neglecting my own needs while caring for others. Yet, it reflects my nurturing nature, which I consider both a challenge and a gift.

Likes: I enjoy spending quality time with my family, who are my greatest source of strength and joy, while also loving to listen to people’s stories that inspire me and remind me of the beauty in diversity.

Dislikes: I stand firmly against dishonesty, because trust is the foundation of every meaningful relationship. I also believe judgmental attitudes limit our ability to embrace others, and I reject negativity, as it limits the power to transform lives and inspire change.

Tell us about your family:

I come from a family that has faced deep challenges yet emerged with strength. I am the sixth and only surviving child of my parents, who faced unimaginable losses yet taught me courage and empathy. My father, a mining engineer and an avid reader and writer, and my mother, who was ahead of her time with a broader mindset and positive attitude, shaped my values of resilience and compassion. I am now married to a humble man and blessed with a strong-willed teenage daughter. Born in Odisha and brought up across India, my journey reflects adaptability, courage, and gratitude.

Quotes that keep you going, motivate you:

  • Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.
  • Scars are proof that we survived, not that we were broken.
  • If you sink into baseness, why should I not rise into nobility?
  • Putting yourself first isn’t selfish – it’s necessary.
  • Negativity is cannibalistic. The more you feed it, the stronger it grows.

Achievements/ Anything you are proud of yourself:

I believe achievements are not measured by the lives we touch. My journey has taught me that true success is lifting others while standing strong yourself.

My greatest achievement is transforming grief into strength. After losing my sister, I stood by my parents, cared for both families and for the toddler she left behind.

While I sacrificed my own prospering career, my achievement lies in empowering my husband to discover his potential. He began as a simple

graduate with little direction, but with my support and guidance, he grew both academically and professionally. His transformation is my proudest accomplishment. It taught me that true success lies in resilience and sacrifice.

“I am proud not of what I have gained, but of what I have given.”

What is Women Empowerment according to you?

Women empowerment is not about authority over others – it is about awakening the power that already resides within. It is not a gift handed down – it is a force lived out loud.

It is the courage to choose your own path, the strength to lead with vision, and the grace to lift others as you rise. True empowerment means opening doors to equal opportunities in every sphere of life, while celebrating the brilliance, resilience, and unique contributions women bring to our world.

It is every woman daring to dream, breaking barriers, and proving that her voice, her choices, and her leadership matter. When women stand tall, societies thrive. When women shine, the world is illuminated.

Message for the society:

The change I want to see in our society begins with valuing both mental health and compassion. Too often, women sacrifice themselves for others, forgetting that self-care is not selfish – it is essential. I believe we must create a culture

that embraces balance: caring for family while also nurturing oneself.

At the same time, in a world filled with noise and competition, I want us to remember the quiet strength of kindness. Listening with empathy can heal hearts, bridge divides, and build stronger communities. Achievement is important, but it should never come at the cost of compassion.

My vision is simple yet profound: a society where balance and kindness are celebrated as much as success, and where every individual – especially women – feels empowered to care for themselves while uplifting others.

How will you give back to society after becoming a Queen?

This is not about recognition – it is about responsibility. My goal is to contribute to a society where compassion and care are valued as much as progress and achievement. Whether I win or not, my purpose remains the same. I hope

to use my platform to raise awareness about health, particularly genetic conditions like thalassemia, and to highlight the importance of emotional well-being. I envision organizing workshops and community programs that foster listening, inclusivity, and resilience.

I also wish to give back by being a voice for those who feel unheard. Whether it is supporting families during medical challenges, encouraging women to recognize their self-worth, or standing beside friends through emotional struggles, I will continue to serve with empathy and strength.

Why have you participated in Mrs India International Queen?

I have participated in Mrs India International Queen because this pageant is a platform to transform personal pain into purpose and represents hope.

My journey of overcoming loss, supporting my family, and mentoring others has taught me that true beauty lies in strength and service. I want to inspire women to embrace their individuality and rise above challenges.

I joined this pageant to prove that a housewife, a mother, and a mentor, a Queen in her own world can be a Queen in the Geographical world. My journey is about showing that women can redefine success – not just through careers, but through the lives they uplift and the families they strengthen.
